Nice Robe - but consider your sizing

A nice, cozy, light-weight robe. The quality of the robe and stitching appears high. I was looking for a Spring/Summer robe and seem to have found a great one. But consider your sizing: I’m 5’6” and 150 lbs, medium slim build. From the sizing charts, I would be a medium. But I ordered a large after chatting with the store because I like a robe that is fullsome and doesn’t gape or that is too short. When it arrived (very quickly), I have to say I was a little disappointed because it was huge - the sleeves, length and body were all a couple inches too large for me. I considered exchanging it for a medium, but decided to take a chance on shrinkage after noting a caution on the label. After a cold water wash and a normal tumble dry, there was significant shrinkage - but the end result is now perfect for me. Sleeves now go to my wrist and the robe falls mid to upper calf. It shrunk in the body as well, but still provides full coverage and no gaping. I would definitely size up if you intend to use a dryer. Hopefully this info about fit and shrinkage can help others find their right size.
